Chance to celebrate autumn at Grand Baldwin Festival

One of Merrick’s closest neighbors is hosting a celebration, and everyone is invited to the Grand Baldwin Festival.

The celebration includes food vendors, a pop-up marketplace, an art showcase, and musical performances. It is a family-friendly event with various activities for all member regardless of age.

The Grand Baldwin Festival is a community building event that involves all the hamlet’s stakeholders – including the businesses, residents, non-profit organizations, and faith groups – to increase community pride and enhance Baldwin’s business environment.

Banner printing services are helpful in building excitement ahead of community events.

The Community Coalition of Baldwin, which sponsors the event, was founded with an eye toward bringing stakeholders together with a goal of engendering pride in Baldwin and creating a more cohesive community.

Volunteers make the yearly festival possible. Months prior to the festival, a dedicated group of Baldwin residents begins planning for the event. On the day of the festivals, another team of volunteers provides event coordination and assists with setting up and cleaning up.

Festival proceeds go toward community-building projects and events designed to bring Baldwin residents together, plus scholarship funding for Baldwin students who have donated their time and efforts to benefit the community.

The Grand Baldwin Festival takes place noon to 4:30 pm this Saturday, October 1, in the Municipal Parking Lot in back of the Baldwin Public Library. In the case of rain, the event will take place at the same time the following day.
