A fundraiser hopes to raise money that will help a specific breed of dog.
The yearly Baskets & Bulldogs Fundraiser, arranged by Happy Homes Bulldog Rescue (HHBR), is a gathering to help with the rescue and recovery of bulldogs. The goal of this fundraising campaign is to unite those who love dogs and animal welfare backers for one day full of events, auctions, and opportunities to learn about HHBR and its mission.
The event includes a silent auction, a raffle, and various dog-related games and demonstrations.
The silent auction has items donated by businesses and people from the area. It includes gift baskets, restaurant certificates, spa treatments, and special artwork, as well as hand-made goods. The raffle is another opportunity for people to win prizes while helping a good purpose. Promotional Products are sometimes used as prizes
Day-long presentations and dog shows will demonstrate the skills and attributes of bulldogs, providing enjoyment as well as knowledge about their characteristics and training. Interactive activities will enable participants to join in with the dogs.
Money collected from the Baskets & Bulldogs Fundraiser goes towards HHBR's programs, paying for medical treatments, surgeries, and everyday needs of saved bulldogs. People who are interested can buy tickets beforehand or on the day. Those who cannot attend but still want to help can send in donations.
The HHBR Baskets & Bulldogs Fundraiser is set to take place on Sunday, September 15 at the Merrick Golf Course.
