Innovative working/living space to come to Manhasset

HBC, the parent company of Hudson Bay, will be opening coworking centers in Saks Fifth Avenue stores in the tristate area, including one in Manhasset.

To be called SaksWorks, this first-of-its-kind business will bring high-quality and flexible work and living spaces to the area. These spaces will feature stylish meeting and work areas, restaurant space, artisanal cafes, fitness studios, retail space, and programmed events offered to its members. Various printing services are used to create Brochures, pamphlets, and other materials with more information about amenities being offered at such venues.

SaksWorks will be led by President Amy Nelson. Nelson most recently worked at The Riveter where she was able to open 10 coworking spaces around the US specifically for working women, by raising $30m. She expressed her thrill to be joining SaksWorks, noting that it will serve many people who now are either part-time commuters or are working from their homes.

Richard Baker, Governor, CEO, and Executive Chairman of HBC, said that his company is always thinking to the future and is at the intersection of real estate, operating, and technology companies. He added that Saks Fifth Avenue stores have always been associated with highly personalized services such that SaksWorks extends the legacy of the company to meet the demands and need for hybrid work.

Manhasset is expected to welcome SaksWorks next month.
