The Petrocelli Advanced Surgical Pavilion of North Shore University Hospital (NSUH) in Manhasset is currently under construction.
The building will span 280,000 square feet and be seven stories high. Among its features will be 44 intensive care unit beds; 18 operating rooms with three hybrid suites offering advanced imaging; two levels of parking under the building; and a lobby at the Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital. Brochure printing is often used for offering more details about the services to be offered at such hospitals.
Michael Dowling, President and CEO of Northwell Health, health care provider for the hospital, said that this building represents the future of health care for residents of both Queens and Long Island. He added that it will transform the capabilities of the teaching hospital and the Level I trauma center. The teaching hospital is the home of the Katz Women’s and Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospitals and one of the busiest emergency departments in the metropolitan area of New York.
Executive director of NSUH, Jon Sendach, commented that an exciting future of medicine awaits once the building is finished.
A significant gift from Attilio and Beverly Petrocelli, residents of Kings Point, made this project possible. The total cost of the building is $325 million. The building is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
