Spooky Fest to come to Long Island

The Center for Science Teaching and Learning in Rockville Centre will hold its Spooky Fest next month. The event celebrates Halloween, and locals from Island Park can also stop by for festivities.

Organizers will transform 16 acres of wooded space into a Halloween-themed area. Guests can expect an appropriately spooky atmosphere with:

“…eerie lighting, special effects, and characters along the way.”

Some attractions at the event will include a “scary walk” through the woods, and a maze.

Spooky Fest will also be family-friendly, so parents can feel confident bringing their children to the event. Organizers will prepare other activities for attendees too, including an arts and crafts area for kids, which will likely utilize supplies from Stationery printers. Children attending will have the chance to make something and take it home.

To ensure the safety of everyone at the event, Spooky Fest will follow social distancing precautions. Lines for attractions will be spaced, and attendance at the venue will be limited.

The event will take place during weekends throughout October, with the opening date being October 8. Each day, it will run from 6:30 to 9:30 PM and will be open regardless of weather conditions. Tickets are $20 for an all-inclusive package, with an option for non-scary attractions available for $12. Guests can find the center at 1450 Tanglewood Road.
