The Village of Island Park has cordially invited all to be part of an event that will open its winter holiday season, and this festive event may appeal to all ages.
The Village Green, which is located at the corner of Warwick and Long Beach roads, will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland for a function filled with sound and light. All ages are welcome, and it will include an opportunity to make the season brighter for kids in need.
The public will be able to enjoy the community's tree lighting ceremony, and everyone can lace up their skates and go for a spin on the ice rink. The kids can visit the inflatables and spend some time with Santa, and cups of hot chocolate will keep everyone toasty warm. The Island Park Library will have a heated tent set up on site with crafting stations. A collection point for Toys for Tots will be welcoming donations of unwrapped toys for distribution to kids in need.
As many winter holiday events are held outdoors, any decor used will need to be able to withstand the weather. A banner printing company will have plenty of options to choose from.
Island Park will be celebrating the season with this social gathering scheduled for Friday, December 12. It will start at 6:00 pm.
