The Village of Island Park is celebrating its 100th year, and to mark the occasion, it has a Labor Day activity on deck that will light up the night.
Residents of the village and surrounding communities will be gathering at Masone Beach for an activity that has become a popular tradition, and as it is Island Park’s centennial year, it will be the biggest one yet. The beach can be found on Waterford Road.
The family-friendly festivities will open with a live concert featuring a performance by Andy Cooney, and this will begin at 7:30 pm. Once the concert has drawn to a close, the crowd will be treated to a fireworks display – the largest one in the history of the village.
The organizers of the event are hoping for a great turnout and have reminded everyone who plans on attending that many of Island Park’s eateries and other small businesses will have their doors open, ready to welcome the public before they head to the show. A poster printing company will be able to supply event organizers with promotional materials that may help generate public interest in such an event.
