Long Beach’s Chamber of Commerce will wrap up its Halloween Decorating Event in early November. Around the end of October, participating houses and businesses will transform their property to match the Halloween theme.
Before the event ends, locals can take a look around Long Beach for these decorated houses and buildings. Those from nearby areas like Island Park can also take a short trip to view some of the Halloween decorations. For events like these, banner printing is often employed to help show participation in the contest. Those visiting can keep a lookout for these Signs.
By the end of the event, winners will be selected for both the best-decorated house and business. Judges will make their selections based on how unique and creative the decorations are, use of storytelling or themes, usage of decorations, and overall presentation. For businesses, judges will look at both the interior and exterior of the building. While for homes, judges will only assess the streetside view.
There will also be People’s Choice Awards for Long Island residents to vote on online. Pictures of the homes and businesses will be available on Facebook, and winners will be determined by who receives the most likes.
