Angiosarcomas are a group of cancers that affect the circulatory and lymphatic systems and an Island Park activity will take to the pavement to help find a cure.
The organiser, Andrew C. DeMarco Foundation, has set the date for its second Walk to End Angiosarcoma. It's been scheduled for Seaford’s Cedar Creek Park, and participants will be honoring the life of Andrew as well as others who have battled these diseases.
The day will kick off with registration, and this will be followed by an opening ceremony to help get the celebration off to a fun start. The walk will begin immediately afterwards, and the guest speaker for the gathering will be Grace Ronerston. The whole family is encouraged to come out, and there will be games set up for the attendees. The walkers will not be timed, and the fundraiser will be held rain or shine.
To thank the walkers for their dedication to the cause, they will each receive a coupon they can redeem for a slice of pizza and a drink, courtesy of Gregorios Pizzeria. Stationery printers can prepare vouchers and other premiums to hand out during a special event.
The second annual The Andrew C. DeMarco Foundation Walk to End Angiosarcoma will take to the street on September 29th. The check in area will be set up in the area between parking lots 1 and 2.
