Tree seedlings and transplants are available for purchase for landowners in Henrietta from the Monroe County Soil and Water District. These will help to prevent soil erosion, create suitable habitats for wildlife, establish windbreaks, and add value to one’s property.
Among the items which are available are seed mixes, one herbaceous flowering plant, five conservation and wildlife multi-packs, 24 bare root shrub and tree species, and one live stake deciduous plant, as well as tree tubes, bird house, and many more items.
There are over 40 different species that include flowering plants, transplants, bare-root conifers, and hardwoods, including seven new items and many returning items. Also offered are other products ideal for promoting ecological stewardship activities and conservation projects. This program enables the district to support conservation efforts to protect and enhance the natural resources in the county and helps residents to conserve and enhance these resources in their communities.

Order Forms and the catalog for the program are available on the website of the district. The deadline to order is Thursday March 6 with distribution of items to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday April 23 and Tuesday April 24 at the Monroe County ecopark in Rochester.
