The Rush-Henrietta Kicking Hunger School Food Pantry is now open and is in a new location on Lehigh Station Road in the Carlton Webster Building.
This food pantry is open to residents of the school district of Rush-Henrietta, regardless of whether the families in need have children attending school in the district.
Vistors who come to the food pantry for the first time need to complete a brief intake form. Vistors to the pantry may visit it up to two times per month.
The pantry offers personal care products, such as soap, toothpaste, and shampoo; school supplies and “birthday Bags”; perishable and non-perishable foods; household supplies including paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies; and paper goods.
The pantry is always looking for donations of these items, particularly shelf-stable dry goods and items that are packed individually for school lunches or work. It will also accept donations of a monetary amount that can be given directly to the food pantry, or by participating in or donating directly to the annual Rush-Henrietta Kicking Hunger 5K Run/Walk.
Flyer printing can be used to inform residents in need of such food pantries and how donations of food and money can be made.
Additional supporters of the food pantry include Foodlink, Rush-Henrietta Employees Association, the town of Henrietta, and the 5K Run/Walk.
The pantry hours are 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays.Get a Free Quote for Bags
