Special fashion show to come to Henrietta

Fashion Week will be coming to Henrietta in October at the Dome Arena.

The fashion show lasts five days and highlights both local and national designers, boutiques, businesses, artists, and talent. There will be four runway shows and other special events. The shows will include Light Up the World, The Edge of Light Runway, and Bright Lights runway shows with a special finale runway show. There will also be a designer and boutique pop-up retail event.

The fashion show will also bring awareness and financial support to The Center for Youth, which focuses on emergency programs and homelessness for youth. Poster printing sis often used throughout a region to promote such special shows and their efforts to support non-profit organizations.

Chief Fashion Organizer of Fashion Week, Meghan Mundy, said that the goal of Fashion Week is to celebrate the creative community while also endeavoring to address the needs of the youth in the community who are experiencing homelessness. Munday added that these advocacy efforts are the higher mission of the show.

Executive Director of The Center for Youth, Elaine Spaull, added that many of their youth were devastated by the events of the past year so the show will be a way to re-energize them with hopes for a better future.

Fashion Week will take place from Monday October 12 through Saturday October 16.
