Sandwich shops re-opens in Henrietta

A location of Jimmy John’s Sandwiches is now open on East Henrietta Road in Henrietta.

Jimmy John’s is known for its club and sub sandwiches and kettle-cooked potato chips. The chain prides itself on using the freshest ingredients, offering premium meats, hand-sliced vegetables and cheese, and freshly baked bread.

The owners of the new shop are three alumni from McQuaid Jesuit High School from the class of 1997—Fred Moore, Christopher Vandetti, and Talisin Burton. They plan to open three more locations of the restaurant in the Rochester area over the next three years.

The new shop replaces the one that closed last July. Vandetti said that because of this, there was little work to be done in the space, mostly cleaning and replacing some equipment in the kitchen.

There will be between 18 and 20 people employed at the restaurant. Training began last month, during which time hundreds of sandwiches were made. Vandetti said that these were given to firefighters in Henrietta, the Sheriff’s Office of Munroe County, a nearby branch of Chase Bank, and workers at the main post office on Jefferson Road. Vandetti said that their goal is to donate as much food as possible while also trying to let the community know that the shop is open once again.
