The first western New York location of BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse will be opening in Henrietta next month.
The restaurant is a new construction and spans 7,662 square feet. It is in Market Square on Jefferson Road, situated on a parcel of land that was once the home of Romano’s Macaroni Grill. Late last year, it was torn down to enable the building of the new restaurant. Banner printing is often used at such sites to inform the community of such new eateries in town.
The menu at BJ’s will include slow-roasted entrees and steaks, pasta dishes, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, desserts, and a menu for children. It is known for its Pizookie, a dessert that is shaped like a slice of pizza and topped with ice cream. Boneless and regular chicken wings made with many kinds of sauces, and served or drizzled with ranch dressing, will be featured appetizers.
BJ’s will also serve its own line of craft beers. Jared Taylor, a representative from the company, said that BJ’s will not be the kind of restaurant that will become a bar during the evening hours. He said it will always be an establishment for families.
A soft opening for families and friends is planned for Tuesday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 30, while the official opening will be on Monday September 4.
