Henrietta to host fall run and walk

The inaugural Fall Foliage Family 1-Mile Run and Walk will be held at Tinker Nature Park in Henrietta next month.

Such special events are often promoted throughout a region with banner printing.

There will be two start times for the Run and Walk—one at 9:00 a.m. and the other at 11:00 a.m. for people to enjoy the fall foliage in the park. There will be breakfast items and snacks at the end of both races with live music also provided.

The fee to register for the event is $25 per person. There is no charge for children 12 years of age and younger if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who has registered. Children will still need to sign the waiver form. A limited-edition Pudge tee-shirt will be given to the first 150 people who register.

Those who want to walk, jog, hop, or get pushed in a stroller are all welcome to participate and dress in their best fashions for the fall. Everyone who participates in the Run and Walk will be entered in a gift card giveaway which will be awarded at the end of the event.

The Run and Walk will take place on Saturday October 8 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Coffee Connection, the Friends of Tinker Nature Park, and the Rush-Henrietta Area Food Terminal.
