Trick or Treating will be coming to the Historic Village at the Genesee Country Village and Museum at the end of this month. Residents of Henrietta and the nearby area may be interested in attending this seasonal event.
This is a village from the 1800s offering eight different historic porches where children dressed in costumes can gather classic candy and enjoy a campfire on Village Square where people can roast gooey “ghost puff” marshmallows and enjoy spooky storybook readings that are family friendly. There will also be a costume parade around the Village Square and opportunities for family photographs.
Each day from noon to 2:30 p.m. there will be a magic show performed by Joel Greenwich of Greenwich Magic. Greenwich teaches in the School of Individualized Study at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). A partnership between the Philip K. and Anne Wehrheim Endowment and the Genesee Country Village and Museum along with RIT is making this performance possible.
The Depot Restaurant will also have specials of the season such as fry cakes and hot cider. Soda, beer, wine, and other beverages will also be available.
Such unique events are often promoted throughout a city and neighboring communities with poster printing.
Trick or Treating will take place at the Genesee Country Village and Museum, Rochester, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday October 26 and Sunday October 27.
