CooperVision has renovated and expanded its global distribution and Packaging center in West Henrietta. The company invested $38 million in the project, which is now fully operational.
The facility has been expanded by 150,000 square feet and is now close to 400,000 square feet in size. The current needs of the company are being accommodated in the new space as well as the growth of the company, which it projects over the next 10 years. It also has enhanced technology and storage space and expanded capabilities for packaging.
Currently 800 million contact lenses are packaged a day, and 1 billion lenses are processed and shipped each year by CooperVision.

Senior director of distribution operations for the Americas of CooperVision, Jim Fiorino, said that the site in West Henrietta is the largest packaging and distribution center of the company in the world. He added that the investment in this facility will enable the company to get its innovative contact lenses to wearers and customers more efficiently and quickly and will align with the mission of the company to enable people to see better every day. He said that the new technology implemented, and the added space will enable the company to better meet the needs of not only the customers of today but of those in the future.
