Dates announced for long-running flamenco festival

The National Institute of Flamenco Executive Director Marisol Encinias, Founding Director Eva Encinias, and Artistic Director Joaquin Encinias have released the dates for the 2021 Festival Flamenco Alburquerque.

Unlike the 2020 Festival, which was by necessity held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Festival Flamenco is set to be held live. The safety of artists, participants and staff will be of the highest priority and all public health best practices and guidelines will be followed.

Some aspects of this year’s Festival will be familiar while others will not, such as when it will be held. Usually taking place in June, the 2021 Festival will be held July 13-17. A banner printing service can be extremely effective in drawing crowds to an event like this, particularly those sponsored or promoted by a city or town.

The Festival Flamenco Alburquerque is hosted every summer by the University of New Mexico and the National Institute of Flamenco. Outside of Spain, it is the longest-running flamenco festival anywhere and attracts the finest flamenco artists in the world. During the event, the community is filled with the rhythm of flamenco and converted into the art form’s cultural epicenter.

New Mexico is often viewed as the United States’ hub for flamenco and this one-of-a-kind event attracts thousands of visitors to the state each year.
