Albuquerque to host fundraiser run
The 2020 Run to Break the Silence event is set to take place in Albuquerque this summer.
This Albuquerque fundraiser will include a half marathon, a 5K, a 10K, and kids’ fun run that will take place in the foothills surrounding Sandia Mountains. The half marathon will begin at 7:30 am on the day of the race, the 10K at 8:00 am, the 5K at 8:30 am, and the kids’ fun run at 9:30 am. Flyer printing makes it easy for the hosts of races to hand out printed information to each participant.
Individuals who register before Thursday, August 13 will receive discounted sign up rates. Tickets for the 5K or 10K cost $32 per person, $40 for the half marathon, and $15 per child for the kids’ fun run. After August 13, prices for the 5K and 10K divisions will increase to $40 per individual and registration for the half marathon will cost $50 per person.
All proceeds from the race will help to support the Presbyterian Ear Institute, which provides deaf adults and children with hearing aids and implants as well as speech therapy. Anyone who registers but cannot attend can choose to still donate the registration fee to the institute.
This fundraiser event is scheduled to begin at the Sandia Resort and Casino on Sunday, August 30.
