Wayne is hosting its Wayne Day community festival this fall.
The event will include a variety of entertainment that is either free or low-cost. Kids’ carnival rides will be available for $1 per ride. Local restaurants and food trucks will have lunch and snacks available for purchase. Everything else is free. Live music and other performances will start at 12:30 pm. The music lineup includes The Anna Felice Band, which covers top 40 Billboard songs, and 3day Weekend Band, which performs fast-paced party and rock music. The full stage schedule is available on the event website.
There will be more than 100 booths representing local businesses and organizations. These include civic groups and fraternal organizations. Each booth will have an activity for people who stop by. Booth signups are currently closed, but applications may be reopened if there is space. Businesses and organizations interested in hosting a booth should check the Wayne Day website for updates. A map of the booths will also be posted the week before the event.
The Wayne Fire Department will have some of its trucks and equipment on display, and the Wayne First Aid Squad will also be participating in the presentation. Towns often use flyer printing services to promote their community events.
Wayne Day will take place at 475 Valley Road on Sunday, September 28 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
