The Montclair Jazz Festival, the region’s largest jazz event, is taking place this summer.
The festival has two parts, Downtown Jamboree from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Block Party from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. More than 85 established jazz artists and 150 up-and-coming musicians will perform during the day, and the atmosphere will shift to a DJ-led dance party at night. Tickets are not required for Block Party. There will also be over 200 vendors selling food and artisan-made pieces. Vendors often use banner printing services to create displays for their tables at this type of large event.
Passes for Downtown Jamboree are available online now. General admission JAM PASSes are available for free, but attendees are encouraged to donate if possible. MainStage Premium Seat passes are $200 and include reserved seating directly in front of the stage and a branded folding chair that pass holders can keep as a souvenir. Additional premium seating packages are also available.
The festival is open to everyone in the region, including residents of Wayne and other northern New Jersey towns. Driving and NJ Transit directions are available on the festival website, along with a list of nearby paid parking options.
The Montclair Jazz Festival will be on Saturday, August 15, from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at Lackawanna Station.
