Wine tasting evening to benefit Northvale area nonprofit

Bergen Volunteers is hosting a wine-tasting fundraiser this November.

Taste and Toast will feature five food and wine pairing stations. Each station will be staffed by an American Wine Society sommelier who can discuss the wines in detail. The event will include a silent auction with prizes focused on experiences. There will also be live music and time to mingle.

Tickets are available on the Bergen Volunteers website now. The cost is $100 per person. Several sponsorship packages are available, each of which will help fund a specific Bergen Volunteers program, including home accessibility upgrades for seniors and leadership program scholarships for low-income teens. Sponsorships include recognition in social media posts, press releases, and throughout the event. Nonprofits often use graphic design experts to create these materials. Sponsors and donors who give $500 or more can also attend a VIP reception as part of the event.

General proceeds from the fundraiser will support All Wrapped Up, which pairs donors with families in need to provide holiday gifts. More than 4,500 people, including children in foster care, veterans, and single parents, received gifts through the program last year. Bergen Volunteers offers volunteer opportunities for individuals and organizations throughout the county, including residents of Northvale and other towns.

Taste and Toast will take place on Thursday, November 14 from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
