Northvale area zoo to celebrate Halloween

The Friends of the Bergen County Zoo are planning their annual Halloween-themed fundraiser this October.

During Zoo Boo, the zoo will be decorated for Halloween, and there will be seasonal shows and trick-or-treat stations. Guests can also take a train ride, which requires a separate ticket. In the daytime, the train experience is friendly and appropriate for all ages. The nighttime trains are haunted and spooky and are recommended for adults and older kids. A kid-friendly carousel ride is also available. This requires a $3 ticket, which guests can purchase in advance or at the zoo.

Tickets for zoo members are on sale now through September 27. The member price is $7 for admission and $4 for train rides. Tickets will go on sale to the public, including everyone in Northvale and other neighboring towns, on September 29 for $10 for admission and $5 for train rides. All attendees aged two and older need a ticket, and tickets must be purchased in advance. Local attractions often use poster printing services to promote their seasonal events.

Zoo Boo will be on Friday, October 16, from 6 pm to 9 pm; Saturday, October 17, from 10 am to 4 and 6 pm to 9 pm; and Sunday, October 18, from 10 am to 5 pm. Rain dates will be the following weekend, October 23 to 25.
