Northvale area venue to host student singing competition

BergenPAC is hosting the finale of a singing competition for local middle and high school students in a month’s time.

The concert will be the third and final round of the inaugural BergenPAC Idol competition. Middle and high school students in Bergen County, including those from Northvale and other nearby towns, were invited to submit performance videos for the first round in November. The best singers were invited to perform for a panel of judges in a live callback round this month, and the top 12 from that round will be performing at the concert.

Tickets are available on the Bergen Performing Arts Center’s website through Ticketmaster now. The cost is $20 for general admission and $10 for students with a valid student ID. Those with accessibility needs should note that there are no elevators to the mezzanine and balcony levels. Organizers often use printing services to create programs for this type of event.

BergenPAC is a nonprofit community theater that runs a performing arts school, musical theater and dance summer camps, and arts outreach programs that serve 15,000 students in 150 schools each year. The main performing arts program offers classes for all ages, from infants to adults, in dance, theater, music, and visual arts.

BergenPAC Idol will take place on Thursday, February 26 starting at 7:00 pm at Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood.
