A growing sport will have a qualifying competition in Northvale soon.
The National Ninja League is a nonprofit organization that was formed to encourage the growth of the Ninja obstacle course sport across the country. The sport is for all competitors, though they are separated into different age groups: Pro, Masters 40+, and Adult 18+.
There are currently two leagues, the Recreational Ninja League (RNL) and the National Ninja League (NNL). The first is for beginners, and runs competitions that anyone interested in Ninja activities may join. The NNL creates competitions for some of the world's best athletes, and competitors face challenging obstacles which they must complete in succession for their performance to count.
The upcoming qualifier will have between ten and 20 obstacles designed to test various skills such as grip endurance, grip strength, coordination, balance, and upper body power. Competitors will not be allowed to practice before the contest. In addition, there will not be multiple stages in this competition. Instead, the top three male and top three female finishers will be advanced to the finals. Finally, although competitors may take part in as many qualifying events as they like, they will only qualify in one.
The NNL Qualifier will be held February 2, at High Exposure on Union Street in Northvale. Flyer printing can be used to provide handouts for attendees at sporting events like this.
