The Friends of the Northvale Public Library are hosting a Halloween Dog Parade and fundraiser this October.
The event will include judged events as well as a parade of all the participating dogs. Proceeds from the dog show will go toward the Northvale Library. The event will take place outside at Hogan’s Park in Northvale. Participants will check in at 1:00 pm. The Best in Show competition will start at 1:30 pm. The parade of dogs will begin at 2:00 pm, and the afternoon will wrap up with an awards ceremony at 3:00 pm.
All participants need to register in advance on the Northvale Library website. The event costs $10 per dog. Space is limited, so Northvale residents will receive priority for registration. If extra space is available, residents of other towns will be welcome to sign up. Dog owners are encouraged to dress their pets in creative costumes. Food will be available for purchase for both people and pets. The Norwood Cub Scouts Pack 120 will host a concession stand. For dogs, Northvale Dairy Queen will offer pup pops. Guest vendors often have Business Cards available at this type of event.
The Best in Show Fundraiser and Dog Parade will take place on Saturday, October 22, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The rain date is the following day, Sunday, October 23.
