Northvale library offers winter challenge to patrons

The Northvale Public Library will be organizing a challenge in January to encourage its patrons to read.

The Simon and Schuster’s Books Like Us program is a competitive reading event where people are asked to read through 10 books throughout the most. There will be four categories for participants based on age, with the top readers of each category winning a special prize. Those who complete the challenge will earn a certificate from the library. Challengers will use the Beanstack Tracker application for the program.

The Northvale Public Library is an organization interested in providing quality services through technology, information, and community programs. The library has many materials in digital and printed formats in languages such as English, Spanish, and Korean. It also allows patrons to borrow Kindles with recent bestsellers. The organization offers both adult and youth activities, such as holiday painting workshops and live virtual performances. Organizers for programs like these can make sure patrons stay aware of activities by using poster printing services.

The winter reading challenge begins on January 1 and will end on January 31. Those interested in registering for the activity can sign up for the program online. Participants may also borrow and log electronic books from the apps Hoopla and Libby. Reading updates and suggestions can be found on the library’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
