Northvale's New Yorker Electronics recently announced it will distribute a new capacitor made by Cornell Dubilier (CDE). New Yorker already distributes other CDE products.
The new product is a film capacitor module for use in high-power inverters. The series of capacitors is long-lasting and highly reliable, since Cornell Dubilier manufactures them using advanced technology.
The newer capacitor is based on the company's already-proven technology, which uses DC Link film to create high-grade devices. They are rated as high as 400Arms, which makes them well-suited for the inverters used today in fuel cells, solar, and wind-power systems. They are also used in large motor drives, power supplies, and UPS (uninterruptible power supply).
Cornell Dubilier has designed the capacitor to replace bus-mounted, cylindrical capacitors, since it provides more energy and has fewer terminations, simplifying connections. A single capacitor is a small, rectangular object, which means it is possible to make the entire inverter smaller. By using the new products, it is possible to make a system more reliable, and lower assembly costs at the same time. Distributors of technical products like this can use brochure printing to create informative Booklets for customers.
The capacitor has a long life, running for 5,000 hours at its rated voltage in a test, while maintaining a temperature at its core of 85°C. This means that when the capacitor is run at a lower temperature, such as 60°C ambient, its life can stretch to 200,000 hours—more than 22 years.Get a Free Quote for Booklets
