Northvale bookshop to join independent bookseller event
Jersey Collective is hosting a statewide independent bookstore event this June.
The two-day New Jersey Bookstore Crawl encourages participants to visit and support more than 50 local bookstores across the state. Each bookstore visit earns the participant one entry in a prize drawing. Bookstores will have a limited number of paper crawl guides for visitors to pick up. Event organizers often use professional printing services for this type of large job. Digital copies are also available for individuals to print themselves.
To enter, bookstore visitors can have their guide stamped at each shop. They can also provide other proof of their visits like photos or receipts. After the crawl weekend, participants can use the QR code on their guides to fill out the prize entry form. Making a purchase is encouraged but not required. Jersey Collective encourages people to support independent stores by visiting and increasing foot traffic even if they are not able to purchase books.
