Northvale area students invited to explore options

Students who are trying to decide what to take next in school, or what they might like to study in college, are invited to a fair in the Northvale area to explore science.

Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) is presenting the City of Science, a fair produced by the World Science Festival. Organizers of the STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) event will use interactive exhibits to explain complex scientific concepts, and top scientists will be available to discuss their fields with students one-on-one. In addition, recent graduates of the university, as well as current FDU students, will take part in a Q&A session. The event will also include a 20-foot pendulum wave and a gravity simulator that examines warped space, designed to intrigue students.

Attendees will also be able to tour the engineering and science labs at the university, and take part in activities at the college level, including programming robots, taking part in nursing simulations, and performing forensic analysis.

The City of Science 2020 event is free, and will take place at Rothman Center at Fairleigh Dickinson University, at 140 University Plaza Drive in Hackensack, about a 20-minute drive from Northvale. The date of the event is March 21, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, and it is recommended especially for young people in grades 7-12. Brochure printing can be used to provide informative pamphlets for attendees at events like this.
