Northvale area park to hold July 4th celebration

Northvale residents will be excited to hear Bergen County is hosting its second annual Star-Spangled Spectacular July 4th celebration this summer.

The event will include live music, activities for kids and a fireworks display. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from two dozen food trucks and a beer and wine garden. The New Jersey Wind Symphony will perform Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, which features cannons.

Anyone in Bergen County, including residents of Northvale and other towns, is invited to attend. The event is free and appropriate for all ages, with food and beverages available for purchase. Additional details about parking and the music performance schedule will be posted on the Bergen County website and the County’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Towns often use poster printing services to promote their community events.

The New Jersey Wind Symphony is a group of volunteer wind and percussion musicians with day jobs who perform a variety of both new and traditional music. Bergen County officials are pleased about the event’s success last year and are hoping to create a new local tradition.

The Star-Spangled Spectacular will take place on Friday, July 4 in the Ridgefield Park section of Overpeck County Park. The event starts at 2:30 pm, and the New Jersey Wind Symphony performance starts at 8:00 pm. The rain date is the following day, July 5.
