Northvale area nature center to host fundraising run
Tenafly Nature Center is hosting the 14th Annual Lost Brook Trail Run this spring.
The event includes 5K and 10K races. The course goes through Lost Brook Preserve and is suitable for both new and experienced hikers and trail runners.
Check-in will be open from 7:45 am to 8:45 am, and the race will start at 9:00 am. Proceeds from the race will support Tenafly Nature Center’s conversation work, which includes protecting biodiversity in the area.
Runners can sign up on the Nature Center’s website. The cost is $30 for the 5K and $35 for the 10K. Same-day registration will be available for $40 and $45. The race is open to anyone in the area, including residents of Northvale and other neighboring towns.
Event organizers often use poster and flyer printing services to help promote them. Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses. Those interested can email Helene Bon (development@tenaflynaturecenter.org) to discuss pricing and other details.
Runners are asked to use street parking on Stanton Road because space is limited in the Nature Center’s parking lot. Compost toilets are available by the parking lot, and at the start of the race, participants will have access to an aid station.
