New Jersey-born comedian Chris Gethard has launched a new project that will include several monthly podcasts, all dealing with the intricacies of his home state.
'New Jersey Is The World' is promoted as a candid but affectionate look at the Garden State and places such as Northvale and Edison, with the shows designed to be enjoyed by both natives and outsiders. The project includes monthly recorded series such as Wo-Town, where Gethard and two childhood friends discuss their weird and wild experiences growing up in West Orange; NJ Food Reviews, with host Don Fanelli discussing the staples of Jersey cuisine; and Voices from the Jughandle, a call-in show where listeners can share their unfiltered opinions.
The project is run through the crowdfunding service Patreon, with different perks available for different levels of subscribers. One free episode will also be released each month. Like many other podcasts, New Jersey is the World offers Promotional Products like a T-shirt only available to Patreon subscribers. Best known for his long-running variety series The Chris Gethard Show and HBO stand-up comedy special, Gethard has been keeping busy over the past year, maintaining his already-existing weekly podcast Beautiful/Anonymous and launching the Planet Scum comedy platform.
New Jersey is the World launched in early February and is currently available on Patreon, with a free episode available in the Beautiful/Anonymous podcast feed.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products
