Leadership program invites Northvale area applications

The Bergen LEADS leadership program is now taking applications for its 2024-2025 cohort.

The 10-month program is designed to help adults develop their leadership skills, become more involved in the community and form connections with one another. The program will include monthly seminars with speakers and panel discussions about a variety of public and private sector fields like education, industry and public safety. Participants will receive executive coaching that covers a range of leadership areas, from working with different personality types to managing crises.

To apply what they have learned, the cohort will also choose a local issue and propose possible solutions. Those interested can see some previous cohorts' projects on the Bergen Volunteers’ website. Participants often exchange Business Cards during this type of program.

Bergen LEADS is open to anyone who lives or works in Bergen County and is dedicated to improving the community. Applicants can be residents of Northvale or any other town in the county. Participants will meet monthly on a weekday during standard work hours and should expect to spend several hours each month working on group projects. The application form is available on the Bergen Volunteers website. Applicants will need to answer some short free-response questions and provide basic demographic information.

The Bergen LEADS program will review applications and make decisions on a rolling basis.
