The Annual Benefit Art Auction will be taking place in Newark later this year, where art lovers and guests alike can come and support local artists. The theme for this year's event is Change is Constant.
The auction features over 100 pieces of art from upcoming and established artists. All proceeds from the auction and event will go towards sponsoring fellowships, educational workshops, and year-round exhibitions.
Attendees can also enjoy other activities alongside the art. Activities will include live music from DJ Kortez and raffle contests, where guests can win Promotional Products and surprising prizes. There will also be a piñata. Food and drinks include a Nasto's ice cream bar, artist-made cupcakes, cocktails, and beers from the Hunterdon Brewery. Since the event has free-flowing alcohol, it is tailored for an audience of drinking age (21+).
The Annual Benefit Art Auction takes place at the Gallery Aferro sometime in Fall 2020, having been postponed from its original date of June 11. Stay tuned to the Gallery’s website for updates.
Should the original timetable remain in place, the event will begin at 6:00 pm with a previewing and mingling session for VIP tickets. Pre-booked VIP tickets are $100, VIP tickets purchased at the door are $150, and pre-registered advance tickets are $25. Tickets purchased at the door are $30.
The official auction will begin at 7:00–9:30 pm. This year, there will be bidding by phone. From 10:00 pm - late, there will be an after-party.
