It is now Newark’s top-ranked high school and is among the top-performing public high schools in the state.
Another magnet school in Newark, Technology High School, rose to No. 64 while North Star Academy Charter rose to No. 91, with both schools making gains from last year. North Star Academy Charter is now the best-ranked charter high school in Newark, having previously been among the best in the area for several years in a row.
Flyer printing can publicize such rankings and the prestige they bring to a city.

The U.S. News rankings evaluate close to 27,000 eligible public high schools across the country and rank about 18,000 of them. They draw on data from 2023-2024 covering state assessment results, college readiness, graduation rates, AP and IB performance and participation, curriculum breadth, and outcomes for all students, including underserved groups.
