New VP to lead Newark business partnership organization

Kirsten Giardi has been named as the new vice president of engagement and member relations for the Newark Regional Business Partnership (NRBP) in an effort to strengthen ties within the community and attract more members.

The NRBP has a diverse membership of close to 400 professional firms, corporations, educational institutions, small businesses, and non-profit organizations, and is an advocacy organization.

Giardi said the NRBP has proved itself to be a valuable organization over the past several years in helping the community to stay connected. She said that her goal is to develop vital events and programs to increase engagement and to attract new members. More information about such plans can be disseminated throughout a community with brochure printing.

Giardi has been the assistant director of development of the Newark Public Library since 2016, and the executive director of the Newark Public Library Foundation. She has also worked in senior leadership positions with Goodwill Industries, as a policy analyst in state government, and as an independent consultant to non-profit organizations.

President and CEO of NRBP, Chip Haddock, said that given Giardi’s demonstrated success in the non-profit world, her ability to build business relationships, and familiarity with key organizations and people in Newark, she has the qualities needed to enhance the member experience and help grow membership in the organization.
