The Second Annual Newark Commercial Real Estate Summit will be coming up later this month.
It is part of the New Jersey Commercial Real Estate Series, produced by CapRate Events, that has become very popular with the renewed interest in commercial real
estate in the city of Newark. The series has existed since 2011, with more than 5,000 attendees. The inaugural Summit attracted 300 people in 2015, and over 350 people are expected to attend this year.
Those involved with development, financing, incentives and investments in Newark will take part in networking and informative activities. Some of the topics on the agenda are the city’s vision for development and economic growth; the outlook for leasing retail establishments; public-private sector joint-ventures; and opportunities in affordable housing.
Speakers at the conference will include Vice Chancellor for Administration and Chief Financial Officer, Rutgers University, Arcelio Aponte; Chief Operating Officer and President, New Jersey Economic Development Authority, Timothy Lizura; Deputy Mayor/Director of Economic and Housing Development, City of Newark, Baye Adofo-Wilson; and Steven Greenberg, Principal, Heritage Capital Group.
CapRate Events may decide to invest in flyer printing services to promote the conference to those with a vested interest in commercial real estate in Newark.
The conference will be held at The Prudential Center on Tuesday June 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
