The GospelFest concert will be coming to Newark at the Prudential Center Arena in May.
Sponsored by McDonald’s, the concert will feature the popular and legendary Clark Sisters, and Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir. The Lifetime Achievement Award of GospelFest will be given to Cissy Houston, a vocalist and mother of late singer and actress Whitney Houston.
Special concerts like this are often promoted throughout a city and surrounding communities with flyer printing.
GospelFest will open with its talent competition, which is held every year. This features many of the best aspiring gospel performers in the United States. Walker himself made the first of his many appearances at GospelFest in the talent competition. Walker, in addition to being the pastor of the Love Fellowship Tabernacle in Brooklyn, New York, is a popular gospel artist and holds two Grammy Awards.
The Prudential Center Arena is one of the most accessible spaces of its kind in the country, offering over 3,500 parking spaces within two blocks of the building. It is also two blocks from Newark Penn Station with easy access to bus and light rail service. There are also designated pick-up and drop-off locations for Uber travelers.
The concert will be held on Saturday, May 13, which is Mother’s Day weekend. Doors open at 4:00 pm with the concert beginning at 5:00 pm.
