The 6 Feet Apart Group Art Festival will soon take place at the Prime Gallery, located on Palisade Avenue.
Following the outbreak of COVID-19, all social gatherings were banned in Newark, as in most parts of the world. The PRIME Gallery organized the 6 Feet Apart Art Exhibition to reflect life amid social distancing measures.
A considerable number of the collection will feature creative works and paintings created since the pandemic, while others that embed the idea of social distancing are also considered.
Maria Kosdan, the Gallery Director and curator of the art display, has chosen paintings from acclaimed artists including Lawrence Ciarello, Alexandra Alvarez, Robert Piersanti, Michelle Pirone, Thomas John Carlson, Danielle Russo, and Walter John Rodrigues.
Flyer printing for the event has already been completed, and one striking aspect of the 6-Feet-Apart flyer is the inclusion of Cameron Daly's colored logo. Daly is a 10-year-old who helps local charitable organizations raise money by selling his hand-drawn individual and business logos.
Maria Kosdan said:
"We are touched by Cameron's enthusiasm to use his artistic skills to help the less fortunate members of society. Therefore, PRIME Gallery has decided to create customized face masks with his logo and be raffled during the event night. The sales money will be donated to local charities.”
The 6 Feet Apart Art Exhibition takes place on October 10.
