The Livingston Senior and Community Center will be hosting the annual Intergenerational Prom later this spring.
The prom, which is sponsored by Senior, Youth and Leisure Services of Livingston, will also be celebrating its 30th anniversary, which has been the inspiration for the theme this year - ‘Celebration Time!’
The Township of Livingston, the Livingston High School Key Club, and the Livingston Public Schools collaborated to put together the prom. Its goal is to bring together the senior citizens and students of Livingston for socializing and getting to know one another better. There will be prizes, music, food, and dancing, as well as the naming of a prom king and queen.
Representatives of Livingston High School, including the principal and staff members, the communication and community outreach coordinator of the school district, a member of the Livingston Education Foundation, two people who work for Aramark Food Service, and the Senior and Adult Enrichment and Special Events Supervisor of the township are among the members of the planning committee for the prom.
The prom will be held on April 11. Flyer printing companies can be used by organizations such as this one to help attract people of all ages to events like these, and encouraging mingling with each other and getting to know different members of the community.
