After a successful launch of her first book, “Yay! It’s Thanksgiving!”, Elina Brahmandam, a fifth grader from Livingston, has created a series celebrating American holidays and other cultures around the world.
Her new book, “Yay! It’s Christmas! Christmas Giving with a Twist!”, is now available to the public.
Elina said that contrary to her belief that it is adults who typically write Books, the publication of her first book has shown that not to be true. She said that she was excited when her first book was published and that hearing from many people how much they enjoyed the book motivated her to write another and create a series. Brahmandam enjoys graphic design, photography, computer programming, and drawing, among other hobbies, and so was able to create the illustrations for both books.
Her mother, Vidhi, expressed her pleasure that her daughter is using her skills and hobbies to create and publish these books. She added that she has enjoyed watching her daughter plan and work diligently on these books, and these skills are important for overall success in life. She and her husband have been encouraging Elina in her passion for writing, which has included running her own blog from the age of eight.
Elina Brahmandam’s two books are available on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle editions.
