A show that has added another dimension to the world of the circus is coming to Livingston.
Paranormal Cirque III has fused cabaret, theater, and cirque into a show that has elements of the spectacular skills audiences have come to expect from artists like those in Cirque du Soleil, along with a sizeable measure of horror and the paranormal mixed in.
Audiences can expect to see freaks, illusionists, Acrobats of the Air, strange creatures, and all the trappings that characterize a “normal” cirque—except there is nothing normal about this performance. The beings that inhabit this circus come from a dark world where they face death-defying stunts, and ghostly apparitions. Performers wear skull and devil masks, and there are vampires galore.
Before they enter the big top, audience members may visit a horror maze, which adds to the experience. After that, it’s on to the show, where a hazy atmosphere adds to the eeriness and a wheel of death has everyone holding their breath. A narrative about possessions and hauntings is woven through the evening.
The nightmarish qualities of this production mean that it is for those 21 years of age and older over. It is not family friendly, and no one under 13 will be admitted.
Paranormal Cirque III will bring the scares to Livingston May 2, 3, and 4. They will set up their big red-and-black striped tent at the Livingston Mall. Shows like this often use poster printing to create advertising for their performances.
