The Tropical Smoothie Café recently opened in the Container Store complex in Livingston offering healthy meals and fresh-blended drinks.
Owners Chris and Wendy Strutt have designed the café with an island-inspired atmosphere enabling residents who live in the Livingston area to get a flavor of the tropics.
Chris said that the goal of having this café in Northern New Jersey was to bring healthier food options and perhaps a healthier lifestyle in the long run. He hopes to be able to cater to not only Livingston, but to the surrounding towns of Chatham and Hanover, while still being able to enjoy the small-town community feel of Livingston.
The Tropical Smoothie Café offers flatbreads, toasted sandwiches, bowls, and wraps, in addition to its made-to-order smoothies made of real fruit. Breakfast items are available all day and side dishes are made in-house.
The Strutts also plan to give back to the community. Their charity of choice is Camp Sunshine, which is a retreat available throughout the year for children who are seriously ill and their families. The children and their families are able to enjoy recreation, rest, and support in an atmosphere of hope at no charge to them.
Flyer printing companies can be used by such eateries to not promote their healthy food options but also their fundraising efforts in the community.
