National night out to be hosted by Livingston police department

Livingston is currently planning its 10th annual National Night Out that will take place next month.

For this milestone year, the Police Department of Livingston will be participating in Project 365. This is a program in which police departments create plans to enhance the safety and desirability of neighborhoods.

The department is looking to increase the number of Neighborhood Watch groups in the town as part of this project. Active participation of residents working with law enforcement to reduce crime in their neighborhoods is the foundation of the Neighborhood Watch program.

Also participating in National Night Out will be emergency personnel from many public safety and law enforcement entities displaying their equipment. Various businesses and local organizations will also be having safety demonstrations, events for youth, and other exhibits.

Events like this are an opportunity to use flyer printing services so that attendees can have Flyers with information to take back with them after the evening.

The Police Department of Livingston commented that National Night Out enhances the relationship between law enforcement and the community, enabling residents and the police to come together to develop police and community partnerships at a time when circumstances are the most positive.

National Night Out will begin at 5:30 pm at the Memorial Oval in Livingston on Tuesday August 7.
