Livingston welcomes summer

Livingston is getting ready to celebrate warmer weather with a party suitable for people of all ages.

The Livingston Summerfest – Food Truck & Music Festival gives people a chance to combine two of their favorite activities – snacking and enjoying live music. The performers are still being finalized, but food trucks have already responded. Those planning to attend include Turanos Pizza Kitchen, Top Tea, These Freakin’ Empanadas, Taxi Cab Burger, Tacoholics, Sandwich Freak, Mozzarella God, Latin Bites, Just Fork It, Hills on Wheels, Grilling me Softly, G’day Gourmet, Cold Stone Creamery, Benito’s Jersey Curbside Eats, Angry Archies, and Arctic Dog.

In addition, a beer garden will be available where people can relax with a brew, and local vendors will be available with handcrafted products. Music will be playing all day long, and entertainment and fun games especially for children will be available.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for those who would like to help support the community.

Summerfest is scheduled for June 9, beginning at 11:00 am. Admission is $5.00, and the party is on The Oval. Families who have children with special needs will be able to enter at 10.30 am, as they may benefit from having a quieter environment and fewer people around them, giving them a way to “ease into” the event. When major celebrations like this are planned, organizers will often ask printers to use poster printing to create suitable advertisements.
