The club is hosting their annual Summerfest, which will feature food trucks, kid’s activities, a beer garden, and a special appearance by Nashville country star John King. King is a songwriter and singer who hails from Demorest, Georgia, who cites Southern rock, rock, and country artists as influences. He obtained a degree from the University of Georgia before Black River Entertainment signed him.
He dropped “Tonight Tonight,” his debut single, in 2014. Taste of Country gave it a favorable review, and the NFL’s “Thursday Night Football” featured it. The song made it into the Top 40 on Country Airplay in September 2014.
King released his debut album in 2021, called “Always Gonna Be You”. American Songwriter said the album:
“. . . establishes the Georgia native as a boundless artist with an undeniable talent for truth-telling.”
Summerfest is the largest fundraiser held by the Livingston Rotary Club. In 2024, over 4,000 people attended the festivities. Celebrations like this can benefit when organizers turn to flyer printing, which is cost effective and can create advertisements that can be easily distributed throughout the local area.
Rotary is still looking for additional sponsors for Summerfest, which this year will be held June 8, a Sunday, from 11.00 am until 6.00 pm on the Livingston Oval. In case of rain, the event will be postponed until September 14.
