Livingston schools receive special certification

All nine schools in the Livingston Public School District have received Future Ready Schools New Jersey (FRS-NJ) Bronze Tier Certifications for 2019. FRS-NJ is a certification program that promotes change to transform schools and districts throughout the state.

Banner printing can be used throughout such school districts so residents become aware of such awards. Dr. Matthew Block, the new superintendent of the district, said this is an accomplishment of which everyone in the community should be proud.

Block added that he is aware of all the work that went towards gaining this status and he expressed his compliments to Director of Instructional Technology, Erin Borino, everyone in the technology department, and all the teachers and principals that worked together towards attaining this status.

The FRS-NJ program is a collaboration of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA), and the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE). The leadership of the program worked closely with each school in the district to demonstrate that technology is being strategically and effectively integrated throughout the learning and teaching instructional practices in the district, and also being made accessible and supported for individual and collaborative learning for both teachers and students.

During the next conference of the School Board this month, the Livingston Public Schools district will be honored with the award.
