Livingston offers active music summer schedule

As warmer weather arrives, so do live performances, and Livingston has a full schedule planned.

Concerts are at the Memorial Park Gazebo, and if the weather doesn’t cooperate, the performance will move inside to the Livingston High School auditorium.

First up is Forever Young, one of the best dance and party bands in the area. Playing doo wop and golden oldies, they have opened for groups such as The Persuasions and the Tokens, who had the monster hit “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” They play the music of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, and the hits of artists from Elvis to Eric Clapton.

Next is The Wag, a tribute group for the Beatles. The Wag performs all the Fab Four’s hits, beginning with their earliest efforts through their final album, as well as the group’s original songs.

Next up is Larger Than Life, who perform hits from well known “boy bands” like Boyz II Men, the Backstreet Boys, and others, even going back to the Four Seasons and the Jackson 5.

The final concert is by The Counterfeiters, a cover band. They often have a “decades night,” when they concentrate on the music from one era, and sometimes enjoy a Live Trivia night.

Forever Young plays July 10, The Wag on July 17. Larger Than Life on July 24, and The Counterfeiters on July 31. The concerts are free and start at 7.00 pm. When organizers plan events like this, they often use poster printing to create advertising for them.
