The Community Day: Winter Wonderland will be presented by The Newark Museum of Art. The event celebrates the winter holidays with festive fun, and Livingston residents are invited to attend along with those of other neighboring communities.
The Museum Garden will be the site for the wonderland activities which will include music, dance, food, and art. Hip-hop performances will take place as attendees dance to the world’s cultural celebrations. Local vendors will be on hand to offer unique and treasured items. Some vendors participating include FLOW Brand, Spicegrove, Pure Joie Jewelry, Fern and Fossil, GT Artland, and Seme Body Butter. At events like this, vendors often use Banners in their areas to highlight their business name and products.
The Hot Dog Lady, along with Tonnie’s Minis, will be serving up some tasty treats. The first 300 people are in for a special treat from Tonnie’s Minis.
Newark’s Harriet Tubman Monument will be a focal point as the creation and decorating takes place, while people appreciate freedom and liberation. Ceramic tiles will be used to decorate.
The ice-skating rink will open at 10:00 am followed by Jingle Bell hip-hop classes and performances. Continuing the performing theme, Premier Dance will provide a show in the afternoon.
The Community Day: Winter Wonderland will take place on Saturday, December 11 at Washington Park, 49 Washington St.
